Getting a bad loan refi does cost money, so if you think you are getting a deal on paper, be sure to ask about the costs associated with getting the refi. Getting a refi without paying any money is impossible and be weary if that happens to you. Read all of the fine print and identify the new and old to make sure every basis is covered. Additionally, read if there are any penalties for opting out of your old loan.

Keep in mind that when you refi to reduce is a good thing but when you do it to buy other material things that it could set your finances back. It would be unwise to use the money on unimportant things. You might want a new ride but there are other things you can use the money on.
